Armenian Mass Spectrometry
Society

We are starting a monthly online seminar series called SeminArMS!

Each month we will showcase the work of Armenian scientists and students in the Mass Spectrometry field to promote the various ways MS techniques and methodologies can be useful in research. With these webinars, we hope that those interested in learning and using this technique will get useful insight as to what has been done, how its been done, and how it can be applied to their projects. We also look to foster both local and global networks and connect people and labs together to help build the Armenian MS community and develop new and exciting MS projects.

The seminars are about an hour long and are designed to have time at the end for questions and discussion and to get to know us (the founders) and the members of our growing community.

For topic suggestions or if you would like to showcase your work do not hesitate to contact us! Upcoming seminars and their details are updated below.

List of SeminArMS

Biological Mass Spectrometry of Proteins - February 16, 2023 17:00 CET

This first seminar will be given by Irina Oganesyan, PhD. Irina is one of the co-Founders of ArMS and completed her PhD at ETH in Zurich in the laboratory of Dr. Renato Zenobi. She will give a talk about the work that she has done on Native MS on proteins during her PhD. We hope to see you there!

Content from the meeting will be updated here afterwards.

Cross-Linking Mass Spectrometry for Probing Protein Interactions in Living Systems - March 15, 2023 17:00 CET

Lucienne Nouchikian, PhD is one of the co-Founders of ArMS and completed her PhD working at the Mass Spectrometry for Biology Laboratory at the Institut Pasteur in Paris headed by Dr. Julia Chamot-Rooke. She will give a talk about her PhD topic, Cross-Linking Mass Spectrometry (XL-MS), what it is, and how can it be used to study protein interactions especially in hard to work with systems such as membrane proteins.

Please register on the following link: TBD

Native Mass Spectrometry for the Characterization of Serum Glycoproteins - April 19, 2023 17:00 CET

Dario Cramer, PhD is one of the co-Founders of ArMS and completed his PhD at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands in the lab of Dr. Albert Heck.
